FAQ - Voice
What is voice broadcasting?
Voice broadcasting is an essential tool that lets you send automated messages to your user group in seconds. Our system allows you to schedule the voice messages to take place at a time and date of your choosing. Our system then automates and distributes the messages accordingly. This is very popular with Health Clinics wanting to confirm appointments and telecommunications providers confirming the engineer is on his way.
The main features of Buzz Voice are the ability to upload using an mp3 or wav file format. To record using Text to speech (TTS) and schedule your campaign to start when you want it to. The ability to make a test call, built-in unsubscribe process, duel tone multi frequency (DTMF) and signalling recognition and comprehensive reporting for you to evaluate the success of the campaign.
What is Buzz Voice useful for?
Voice broadcasting is very useful for a number of professions and situations. Disaster Management, appointment reminders, delivery confirmations, polling, surveying and promoting products and services are just some of the areas our customers use this tool for.
Does it cost more to voice broadcast internationally?
The costs vary from country to country. The rates are listed on the product feature page so you can plan your campaign with confidence. You are only invoiced for voice messages that are sent successfully. When your voice campaign is completed, we will return credit to your account for any calls that could not complete.
Can customers unsubscribe from my messages and can how am I informed?
Yes, customers can unsubscribe during the call. Once your campaign is complete you can view who has unsubscribed from your campaign report. To do this, select REPORTS from your Buzz Voice dashboard and OPEN next to the campaign you wish to view.
Can I use my own voice in my voice messages to my patients?
Yes you can. Our system allows for two options, you can upload your own mp3 or wav format file containing any voice you prefer to bring that personal touch to your voice broadcasting. Should you not wish to use your own voice on the broadcasting or do not have the equipment to do so you can use out text to speech feature. You can type the message of your choice and pick the style of voice you would like it to be read as. Our software allows for male or female voice in a variety of accents to suit your audience.
Can I use the Buzz Voice broadcasting system with music?
From our experience we recommend that you keep your message simple and clear. Accessibility is important for your audience so if you want to use music this should be kept at low volumes so it does not hamper the voice message. You can test the message on yourself, friends and colleagues and should you feel it is a distraction then it might be best to remove it and let the voice do the talking so to speak!
What format should my numbers be in when sending a voice message?
In the UK our 11 digit numbers can be uploaded to the contact manager and will work directly as they are. For international numbers don't forget to add the country code and the all important + sign so the system knows your calling aboard. An example of this if you were calling south Korea, the code would be +82 followed by the number.
Can I schedule my voice broadcast to start at a certain time?
Yes, our system allows you to select the date and time that you want your broadcast to commence. You can also "SEND NOW" allowing you to immediately commence your campaign. This is perfect if you're in a rush and need information to reach your audience quickly. For example if a flash flood warning has just been issued, the County or City council can immediately warn residents of the potential risk to their homes.
What is the best browser to use for Buzz Portal and in particular Voice Broadcasting?
We love all browsers and our system is tested and functions perfectly on the big 5 but not all web browsers are equal in their strengths and some are simply better suited for advanced tasks than others so we strongly recommend using the latest versions of either Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
