The majority of marketers make the decision to start and email marketing campaign only to find they do not have the targeted addresses to contact. Many will consider renting or purchasing a pre made email-marketing list. However, this is something that you do not want to do for a number of reasons. Firstly, many of the recipients on the list will already been labelled as “Spam”. Therefore, you will spend £1000 or more on a list that has more than 70% of bogus or duplicate emails. Then, you also have to keep in mind that these people have not signed up to receive messages from you either.
Renting, purchasing or using harvested contact details without the express permission of the recipient is strictly against the BuzzPortal Anti-Spam policy so if you take this route you can expect your subscription to be terminated without a refund.
Sending messages to people who did not want to receive them will upset some, perplex others and will result in so few if any good leads it’s a doomed strategy form the offset. You only want your email to be read by interested parties. Using a purchased list is very much a scatter-gun approach and to use a sporting analogy is rather like a football team all running around like headless chickens chasing the ball with no plan or strategy for targeting leads.
Our Anti Spam Policy is part of our Terms and Conditions of service and were produced in conjunction with the law of England and Wales. Three important documentsd havge shaped our legal position, these are; the EU Privacy and Electronic Communications Directive 2003, the UK Information Commission report "The Guide to Privacy and electronic communications 2013" and the "UK Data Protection Act 1998"
Given the legal position, it is best for you to build your own targeted email list.
